The Calf's Frightened Day Ever!

The Calf’s Frightened Day Ever!

It was one bright and sunny day at Savanna lake July the 1st. I was walking with the herd aroundthe water hole.
My dad was the top buffaloe of the herd,  I knew I would be safe after all I am just a calf.
Suddenly my father the the leader of the herd stomped and roared as he smelt fear. I knew something went wrong and  I  rushed to the front and then he said, “Turn back now.!”
Then the herd and I ran as fast as we could.  I knew they were after me so I ran towards the river bank.
Boom goes the lions chasing for me as I am the week one, I made a sign to my family saying they will be back for me. So I knew I had to stay strong so I did.
Then they got me and charged me into the water, I knew there was going to be more danger. Then suddenly the splash of the water a crocodile pounced out of the water,  grabbed a bit of my tail then a bigger bite was almost my whole body.
The big tough croc thought he had me but  the big vicious lions had a gang which means more teeth for them and less for the big bad croc. The vicious lions defeated the crocodile, I felt glad because then there was one enemy gone.  But  was it the lions lucky day?
They got rid of one victim.
Now the herd of buffaloes were back to save me as they said they would. The lions could smell fear,  they knew to turn back. They do have the teeth but not much of them, because the buffaloes had a lot of horns which means more help. Mean while we were waiting in the tall dry and crusty grass as the lions had slobber all over their mouths which means they're hungry.
But once the big mad buffalo charged at one of the lions the rest of them fell back it is not worth it anymore. As soon as there was the last lion standing I knew I was going to be safe, I still had some of that agility inside me I felt like jelly as I can no longer feel anything.

I made it back to the herd I had a few bruises but I could fix that.   So that is how my herd of buffaloes defeated the lions to get me back.

Thank you family I was terribly frightened I did not think you were going to come back to risk your life for mine but no you came back and rescued me and no one's life was harmed.
